Mayor Jim Strickland

Jim Strickland was elected mayor of Memphis on Oct. 8, 2015, pledging to work toward making ours a safer and stronger city, to lead a transparent and trustworthy government, and to have an administration that applies, in his words, “new eyes to solve old problems.”

Mayor Strickland was elected to the Memphis City Council in 2007. He served as vice chairman of the council in 2013 and as its chairman in 2014. In eight years representing District 5, then-councilman Strickland became known for fighting for government transparency and public safety.

Community service has long been a part of Mayor Strickland’s life. He has served with various organizations, such as the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, where he continues to volunteer. He is a gold life member of the NAACP.

• The non-member rate is $35 to attend.
• Partner Passes may only be used at the invitation of a BOMA Memphis Partner company.
• To pay by check, remit payment to BOMA Memphis, 2650 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Suite 2150, Memphis, TN 38118 3 days before the registration deadline.
• Non-members may only attend 3 luncheons per year.
• All cancellations are due 48 hours before the luncheon to avoid being charged.
• Reservations may not be available after the registration deadline.
